1 Killed in Santa Clarita Motorcycle Accident on Tamarack Lane
SANTA CLARITA, CA (March 2, 2020) – Friday evening, an unidentified man in his 20s succumbed to death after a motorcycle accident on Copper Hill Drive.
Santa Clarita Valley Officers revealed that around 6:18 p.m., LA County firefighters arrived to the intersection of Copper Hill Drive and Tamarack Lane. However, the details leading up to the collision have not yet been released.
Reports later confirmed that an 80-year-old female driver was the sole occupant of the involved vehicle. Medics eventually took her to a local hospital with minor injuries. However,the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene due to the extent of his injuries.
“Everything was quiet around here,” stated Hunter Leonard, who works at St. Kateri Church on Copper Hill, shortly after the crash. “Everyone was already inside (the church) and I was just helping the cars exit safely.”
Furthermore, the surrounding area was closed off during preliminary investigations. The identity of the person who died in the crash remains unreleased due to pending family notification.
