Mario Perez Arrested in Madera Fatal DUI Crash
Madera, CA (August 24, 2020) – On Saturday, one man died while the 21-year-old Mario Perez of Madera was arrested in a DUI crash on Knox Street and Tozer Street.
The fatal accident happened at about 6:50 a.m., wherein two vehicles crashed, and pinned one of the drivers inside a vehicle.
Immediately, the paramedics performed life-saving measures. However, the driver still died.
Authorities said Perez was driving under the influence at the time of the accident.
As a result, the police arrested him. He was booked into the Madera County Jail on vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and other charges.
Moreover, the authorities will release the deceased’s identity once family members are properly notified.
The crash is under investigation.
