1 Killed and 1 Injured in Deadly Crash near Butte College
BUTTE COUNTY, CA (July 11, 2019) – A driver was killed Thursday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision on Clark Road. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Butte College, at about 2:00 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a northbound blue 1993 Ford Ranger swerved into the southbound lane and side-swiped the tree-trimming truck.
The impact of the crash caused the Ranger to spin out of control and hit a 2016 gray Ford F-150.
Unfortunately, the Ranger driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, the 65-year-old driver of the tree service truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to Enloe Medical Center. The driver of the F-150 did not sustain injuries.
