PANORAMA CITY, CA (July 13, 2021) – Saturday morning, a man died in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Parthenia Street.
 
According to Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened at around 10:25 a.m. on Parthenia Street.
 
Reports revealed that a white 2008 to 2012 model Chevrolet Silverado struck a manhole cover raised slightly from the surface of the street.
 
Furthermore, a person underneath the manhole tried to open it. However, it was pushed down after the vehicle hit the manhole. Then, the person was pushed down and fell back down the manhole, causing fatal injuries.
 
Moreover, the suspect vehicle fled the scene westbound on Parthenia Street after the incident.
