Man Killed after Nipomo Head-On Accident on Pomeroy Road

 
NIPOMO, CA (July 9, 2019) – One person sustained fatal injuries after a head-on accident on Pomeroy Road in Nipomo on Monday, July 8.
 
The crash occurred just after 4 p.m. on Pomeroy Road near Sandydale Drive.
 
The California Highway Patrol said that a 57-year-old man died and two other people were hospitalized after the head-on accident.
 
Officers stated that one of the drivers crossed over the double yellow lines around the curve near Sandydale Drive and caused the crash.
 
CHP said it is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
 
Authorities shut down the Pomeroy Road as a result of the crash.
