1 Killed in Thurston Auto Accident on Yelm Highway and Johnson Road
THURSTON COUNTY, WA (October 27, 2022) – Wednesday morning, a person died in a head-on crash on Yelm Highway and Johnson Road.
The incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Yelm Highway and Johnson Road Southeast.
According to reports, a westbound vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle.
Moreover, responders pronounced the male driver of the wrong-way vehicle dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the eastbound vehicle and his 8-month-old passenger to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia with minor injuries.
Furthermore, the collision closed the highway between Johnson Road and Meridian Road.
Meanwhile, the fatal crash remained under investigation.
