72-Year-Old Man Dead after Crash on Highway 101 in San Martin 

Santa Clara County, CA (April 6, 2023) – Thursday morning, one person died, and one other sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 101 in San Martin.

The fatal crash on Highway 101 in San Martin happened before noon on April 6.

CHP said investigators determined a 2000 Lexus was heading south in the far left lane when the vehicle veered out of control, overturned in the median, and hit the metal guardrail.

The driver, a 72-year-old man from Del Rey Oaks, died at the scene.

EMS transported the 73-year-old female passenger to a hospital with major injuries.

Further investigation to determine the circumstances of this deadly crash is ongoing.
