SAN RAFAEL, CA (February 21, 2022) – Saturday night, a person died in a DUI crash on Interstate 580 near Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Interstate 580 near the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.
 
Reports revealed that CHP was investigating two incidents that may be connected to the crash. One of the incidents involved a westbound 2005 Nissan Murano that crashed into a center barrier. Then, it lost control and came into rest on the right shoulder of the eastbound lane where responders found the body of the victim. Also, authorities believed that the vehicle fled east on Interstate 580 towards Oakland.
 
Moreover, a vehicle stopped at the scene and put its blinker on to prevent other vehicles from hitting the body.
 
Furthermore, the events leading to the incident remain under investigation.
