HOLLISTER, CA (January 17, 2023) – Saturday morning, a person died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 156 near Monterey Street.

The incident happened at around 6:57 a.m. on Highway 156, west of Monterey Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an eastbound 2019 Honda Civic traveling at a high rate of speed in wet conditions lost control. Then, the vehicle veered into the south asphalt shoulder of the highway. Then, it collided with a guard rail and bounced into the eastbound lanes where struck a 2011 Honda Civic.

Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the driver of the 2019 Civic dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the circumstances involved in the crash remained under investigation.
