1 Killed and 2 Hurt in Moss Landing Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 1 near Jetty Road

 
MOSS LANDING, CA (February 16, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a person died in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 1 near Jetty Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 8:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 1 near Jetty Road.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound white Freightliner veered towards the westbound lanes of the highway. Then, the Freightliner overcorrected, lost control, and struck a northbound Toyota Camry head-on. Meanwhile, the force of the crash overturned the Freightliner on top of the Toyota and struck a Dodge Durango. Then, the Freightliner finally came into rest and landed on its roof after colliding with an AT&T pole.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the male Toyota driver dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the Dodge driver to Natividad Medical Center with unknown injuries. Meanwhile, the Freightliner driver received treatment and was released at the scene.
 
Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, officials asked everyone to avoid the area and to find alternate routes.
