Pedestrian Killed in Encinitas Hit-and-Run Accident on Encinitas Boulevard and Coast Highway 101
ENCINITAS, CA (January 2, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a person died in a pedestrian crash on Encinitas Boulevard and Coast Highway 101.
The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. on Encinitas Boulevard and Coast Highway 101.
According to Sgt. Jeremy Collis, a westbound vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was walking northbound. Afterward, the driver fled the scene onto West B Street.
Moreover, paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital where he later succumbed to injuries.
Furthermore, authorities described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored sedan or van. It’s possibly a Chrysler or Dodge, with damage to the front driver’s side.
