EL CAJON, CA (January, 5, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a person died in a scooter crash on El Cajon Boulevard and Richfield Avenue.
 
The incident happened at around 10:30 a.m. on El Cajon Boulevard, east of Richfield Avenue.
 
According to reports, a scooter collided with a pickup truck for still unknown reasons. Then, a 2000 Dodge Ram failed to stop in time and run over the two-wheeler. As a result, the scooter rider got trapped under the vehicle.
 
Moreover, witnesses rushed to the scene in attempt to help the victim. Then, responders rushed the scooter rider to Sharp Memorial Hospital where the patient succumbed to injuries.
 
Furthermore, officers believed that that a right-of-way violation played a major role in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
