1 Killed in Riverside Car Accident
RIVERSIDE, CA (January 4, 2019) – One person died after crashing into a power pole with a vehicle which downed power lines on January 3.
According to the California Highway Patrol, as a result, the eastbound lanes of Alessandro Boulevard at Meridian Parkway were closed. The CHP officials also added that passing motorists who saw the incident which occurred before 5:00 a.m., tried to free the driver from the vehicle.
However, when the medical responders came, the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Southern California Edison crews were tasked to deal with the downed lines and the damaged pole.
