1 Killed in Bakersfield Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 5 near Lebec Service Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 10, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, a person died in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 5 near Lebec Service Road.
The incident happened at around 4:30 a.m. on Interstate 5 near the Lebec Service Road exit.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle rear-ended a semi-truck for unknown reasons.
Moreover, officers confirmed that two occupants of the motorcycle sustained injuries, including one that was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported the second motorcycle rider to a hospital in unknown condition.
Reports revealed that CHP closed the northbound lane of the interstate to give way to the responders. All lanes have long since reopened.
