Phoenix, AZ (October 13, 2023) – On Friday, Armando Berumen Jr. died in a motorcycle crash on 16th Street.

Phoenix Police responded to the collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located a man riding a motorcycle, later identified as Armando Berumen Jr. He was transported to the hospital but did not survive his injuries.

The two men in the other vehicle involved in the accident were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives took over the investigation and stated that Berumen Jr. was traveling southbound on 16th Street when the other vehicle turned left onto Broadway Road, where the vehicles collided.

Police said impairment was not a factor in the accident, but speed was.
