1 Dead and 2 Injured after Hit-and-Run Crash on Cosbey Avenue [Baldwin Park, CA]

Deadly Baldwin Park Pedestrian Accident on Cosbey Avenue near San Gabriel River Parkway

 
BALDWIN PARK, CA (June 1, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a person died in a hit-and-run crash on Cosbey Avenue.
 
The incident happened around the 3400 block of Cosbey Avenue. Moreover, it happened near the intersection of the San Gabriel River (605) and San Bernardino (10) freeways.
 
When the deputies arrived, they found a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy with non-life-threatening injuries. Responders took them to a hospital.
 
“During their investigation, (deputies) learned the suspect crashed his vehicle into an unoccupied parked vehicle and fled the hit-and-run scene on foot. Family members attempted to detain the suspect a short distance away, at which time the suspect stabbed the victim… in the upper torso. The suspect fled that location on foot but was eventually detained by El Monte police officers several blocks away,” reports revealed.
 
Responders took the man to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, the identity of the suspect remains undisclosed.
