1 Killed and 2 Hurt in Kent Car Accident on Canyon Drive
KENT, WA (July 2, 2019) – A person died and two people suffered injuries in a hit-and-run collision on Canyon Drive on June 30.
The incident occurred 10:05 p.m. in the 9700 block of Canyon Drive.
According to some witnesses, a red car and a silver car crashed head-on. They helped two people out of the red vehicle while the silver vehicle caught fire.
Puget Sound Fire personnel responded and gave aid and fire suppression. Upon extinguishing the fire, they found a dead person in the silver vehicle. Witnesses also revealed that two people escaped on foot from the silver vehicle.
According to investigators, the silver vehicle traveled east in the westbound lanes of traffic when the crash happened. Police didn’t locate the two people who escaped.
Meanwhile, responders transported the occupants of the red vehicle with an unknown condition.
