1 Person Airlifted after Crash on Interstate 2 in Weslaco

Weslaco, TX (May 5, 2023) – On Friday, one person died, and one other sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 2.

The fatal two-vehicle crash on Interstate 2 in Weslaco happened on May 5.

Weslaco Police said the collision involved a white Ford sedan and a maroon four-door Dodge Ram Pickup.

Police responded to the 500 block of westbound Interstate 2 near a ramp.

One person died at the scene while EMS airlifted another person to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition
