1 Dead, 1 Injured in Car Collision near Gilbert Road and McKellips Road [Mesa, AZ]

1 Killed and 1 Hurt in Mesa Car Collision

 
MESA, AZ (November 18, 2019) – A person died and another sustained injuries in a car collision near Gilbert Road on November 17.
 
Det. Jason Flam said that a passenger car with three occupants and a minivan with one occupant collided near Gilbert Road and McKellips Road. Responders treated the injured people. Meanwhile, they transported one person in critical condition.
 
One of the minivan’s occupied died at the scene. Flam added that it’s still unclear whether impairment played a role in the crash. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
 
The Gilbert Road and McKellips Road intersection will remain closed for multiple hours during the police investigation.
