Four Hospitalized after Chevy Crash into Gas Station on Dobbins Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (April 28, 2022) – Late Thursday morning, a child and three adults sustained injuries in a crash into a gas station on Dobbins Road.

The crash in Phoenix happened on April 28 near the intersection at Central Avenue.

Phoenix Police said a vehicle traveled westbound on Dobbins Road at a high rate of speed when it swerved to avoid a vehicle near the intersection at Central Avenue.

The car then sped through a red light and went over a curb into a gas station parking lot. Moreover, the impact caused damage to the vehicle and the vehicle’s tire flew off.

The tire struck a pedestrian, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said there were three people in the silver Chevy, two adult females along with a six-year-old boy in the back seat.

EMS transported four patients to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Investigators said alcohol and speed are factors in the crash.

Reportedly, the driver also involved in a minor hit-and-run crash moments before this collision.
