SAN DIEGO, CA (June 12, 2023) – On Saturday, authorities arrested one person after an alarming DUI crash on Palm Avenue and 16th Street.

The incident happened on Palm Avenue and 16th Street.

According to reports, a BMW turned in front of an eastbound SUV with a green light. Then, the two vehicles collided and the BMW driver fled the scene on foot.

Moreover, officers arrested a male who was rummaging through the BMW and fled the scene when approached by officers. Then, authorities also arrested a female intoxicated teen who started to interfere with the officers and became aggressive. Also, the SUV driver sustained no injuries and a female passenger of the BMW was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.
