Suspect in Custody in Houston Vehicle Accident on Southwest Freeway
HOUSTON, TX (February 7, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, authorities arrested a person following a police chase crash on Southwest Freeway.
The incident started when a white van refused to pull over for a traffic stop, starting a police chase.
According to HPD Lt. Larry Crowson, the suspect vehicle drove on the sidewalk. Then, it struck another vehicle at the 6000 block of the Southwest Freeway. Then, the suspect fled the scene on foot but was later located and arrested by officers.
Moreover, responders transported the innocent bystander to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Furthermore, officials confirmed that the vehicle was tied to a recent robbery case.
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
