1 Detained in Kingman Ambulance Crash on Highway 68
KINGMAN, AZ (August 29, 2019) – Authorities arrested a person after an ambulance crash on Highway 68 on August 22.
The crash between a passenger vehicle and an ambulance with a patient on board happened at around 9:38 p.m. on Highway 68 right before the junction with U.S. 93.
The incident happened at milepost 26. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the passenger vehicle probably crossed over into the lane of the ambulance. After crashing into the ambulance, the vehicle then struck a street sign and spun until it faced the opposite direction.
The DPS revealed that they are still considering impairment as a factor for the at-fault driver. Responders transported the driver to a hospital before the police booked him into jail.
The ambulance occupants also received treatment at the scene and released at the hospital.
