Minor Injuries Reported in Tempe Auto Accident on Baseline Road and Hardy Drive

TEMPE, AZ (August 13, 2024) – Monday night, a person was arrested after a traffic crash on Baseline Road and Hardy Drive.

According to reports, officers attempted to stop a vehicle near Baseline Road and Hardy Drive. However, as they approached the car, the driver suddenly sped away. 

Rather than pursue the vehicle, officers located it a short time later after it had collided with another car just a short distance from the initial stop.

Both the driver from the attempted traffic stop and the driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash, according to police. The crash led to the closure of Hardy Drive/
