1 Airlifted in North Sam Houston Tollway Collision [Houston, TX]

Houston, TX (July 30, 2024) – Three people have been injured following a N Sam Houston Tollway collision Monday morning.

It was past 5 a.m. when the collision happened on Fairbanks Road near Highway 249.

Investigators said a driver and tow truck driver were changing a flat tire on Beltway 8 when another vehicle struck the two drivers. 

 Two of the patients were transported to a hospital via ambulance and another was airlifted via LifeFlight.

A total of four vehicles were involved in the collision but it has not determined yet if it was a chain-reaction crash.

Traffic authorities closed all the westbound lanes of the tollway as they investigated the scene.
