Injuries Sustained in Alleged DUI Crash near Broadway in Santa Maria

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (September 12, 2019) – A person suffered major injuries following an alleged DUI crash near Broadway and Enos Drive Tuesday afternoon.
 
Involved in the accident were three vehicles. The police said it occurred at about 3:15 p.m.
 
According to witnesses, a Toyota truck rolled over a sidewalk and through a brick wall. It then hit a vehicle with people inside and a parked car in a parking lot.
 
The passenger of the Toyota truck sustained serious injuries. The officials requested a helicopter that airlifted the patient to the hospital.
 
The police arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury.
 
The Santa Maria Police Department is investigating the crash.
