Officer Injured in Pursuit Crash on White Lane [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (December 31, 2021) – an officer sustained injuries in a pursuit crash on White Lane.

The crash took place minutes after 3 p.m. at the intersection with Wible Road.

The authorities tried to pull over a person driving a reported stolen vehicle near Sherwood Avenue.

However, the driver didn’t stop and led the authorities on a chase through south Bakersfield.

Then, the driver stopped and the police were able to approach the vehicle. Just then, the suspect backed into the police cruiser and missed the officers.

Moreover, the chase continued to Wible Road and White Lane where the suspect crashed into another driver. 

Later on, the suspect got out of the stolen vehicle and an officer struck the suspect with a patrol vehicle.

The suspect and a police officer sustained minor injuries, while the other driver involved was not injured.

Finally, the authorities arrested the suspect driver.
