22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Crash with Pickup on Center Parkway
RICHLAND, WA (May 23, 2018) – The Dutch Bros. Coffee community mourns the loss of one of their assistant managers after a motorcycle collision last Wednesday. 22-year-old Zade Hakki was on his way to work when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at an intersection.
According to the reports, the fatal collision happened around 5:30 PM at the intersection of Steptoe Street and Center Parkway. Hakki’s motorcycle collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck that was pulling a utility trailer carrying heavy equipment.
Hakki was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, but sustained fatal injuries due to blunt force trauma. The driver of the Dodge, Owen Clark, was reportedly unharmed from the crash.

An investigation is ongoing to determine what factors are involved in the case. Clark was cooperating with the investigation and is currently awaiting toxicology reports to confirm the presence of alcohol in his bloodstream. Witnesses will also be interviewed and CCTV footages will be checked to confirm the events leading up to the tragic accident.
