According to reports, the incident happened Saturday at about 11:10 p.m. at 6904 West Coast Highway. However, after being taken to a Santa Ana hospital, Zackary Topolewski-Jury died early Sunday.
 
According to reports, a westbound silver Mustang crashed through a metal fence. Then, the vehicle hit the front door of a cat shelter.
 
As a result, the sports car’s front end was damaged. Meanwhile, the fence and front screen door of the shelter was destroyed.
