CONCORD, CA (January 03, 2019) — An 86-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon while she was walking across a Concord intersection.

The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 86-year-old YuenWah TangLo of Clayton.

According to the Concord police, the accident was reported at about 3:19 p.m. Wednesday, citing the area of Ayers Road and Valley Crest Drive. It was reported that TangLo was outside of the crosswalk when she was struck.

The 58-year-old Concord man who was driving the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. It didn’t appear that drugs and/or alcohol contributed to the fatal accident, officials said.
