One Killed and Two Injured in Car Crash in Fresno County
ORANGE COVE, CA (March 5, 2018) – On Monday afternoon before 5 PM, the California Highway Patrol reported a t-bone accident in Fresno County, that resulted in one person dead and two others injured.
According to the Orange Cove Police, a 34-year-old Cutler woman was driving a green sedan eastbound, when she ran a stop sign and crashed into a northbound utility vehicle.
She was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency personnel and identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office as Yolanda Saldana.
Her four-year-old son sitting in a car seat in the back of the car sustained serious injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the service vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries and was also taken to the hospital. There is no update on the current condition of either individual.
Police officials continue to investigate the fatal accident. As of now, they say that there is no reason to believe that drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
