Yolanda Bozonier Killed, Carmelino Ordonez Arrested in Pomona DUI Crash

 
Pomona, CA (September 18, 2020) – On Thursday, 59-year-old Yolanda Bozonier died, while police arrested the 33-year-old Carmelino Ordonez of Pomona, in a DUI crash on Hamilton Boulevard.
 
The fatal crash was reported at about 9:15 p.m. at Hamilton Boulevard and Colony Drive.
 
“The driver was traveling southbound on Hamilton Boulevard at a high rate of speed when (Ordonez) lost control and collided into a house,” police said.
 
“When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a vehicle collided into a house,” police said in a statement. “One resident of the house sustained life-threatening injuries.”
 
Police said the fatally injured woman was trapped under the PT Cruiser for about 20 minutes.
 
Authorities pronounced Pomona resident Yolanda Bozonier, who lived in the house, dead at the scene.
 
“At this time, it appears alcohol was a factor in this collision.”
 
Meanwhile, police arrested Carmelino Ordonez for the DUI accident. They booked him on suspicion of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter, held on $100,000 bail.
