Yannis Floros, Tabia Watson Perish in Two-Car Wreck on Highway 94 Near Lyons Valley Road

 
JAMUL, CA (January 4, 2019) – Two people were killed New Year’s Eve following a two-car collision on Highway 94 near Lyons Valley Road.
 
The deadly incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. one mile north of Jamul Casino.
 
News reports say 21-year-old Yannis Alekos Floros was driving eastbound on Highway 94, approaching an intersection, when under unknown circumstances, he lost control of the automobile. The 2006 Cadillac CTS sedan spun sideways into oncoming traffic where it was struck on the passenger side by a westbound 2001 Lincoln Navigator.
 
Tabia Watson, 20, was found unresponsive in the passenger seat of the Cadillac and despite life-saving efforts, she died at the scene. Floros was rushed in an unresponsive state to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego where he died at 12:37 a.m. He along with Watson died of blunt force injuries.
 
The 44-year-old Potrero male driver of the Lincoln and his female passenger sustained significant injuries in the crash. Authorities are investigating the reason behind the collision and are seeking the public’s help.
