Woodville Woman Dies, Gustavo Hernandez Injured in Vehicle Crash on State Route 99 [Tipton, CA]

Gustavo Hernandez Hospitalized in Fatal Vehicle Crash on State Route 99

 
Tipton, CA (January 13, 2021) – On Thursday, a 19-year-old female driver from Woodville died, while 20-year-old Gustavo Hernandez, also from Woodville, sustained injuries in a vehicle crash on State Route 99.
 
CHP officers in the Visalia Area Office responded to the crash scene at about 9:35 p.m. south of Avenue 152.
 
When they arrived, they found out that it was a solo vehicle crash.
 
Authorities said the female driver was driving northbound in the number 1 lane and may have swerved for an animal in the roadway.
 
As a result, she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a brick wall and into a tree bordering the freeway.
 
Unfortunately, the female driver died.
 
On the other hand, rescuers took the passenger, Hernandez, who sustained a broken arm to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
 
Alcohol and drugs were not considered as factors in this accident.
