San Bernardino, CA (January 23, 2023) – On Sunday, two women sustained injuries and a male driver was arrested in an Interstate 215 DUI crash.

The crash took place around 2:13 a.m. on northbound freeway before 5th Street exit.  

CHP officer said a man driving of a black Dodge Challenger struck a white Mercedes-Benz GLA type SUV with two female occupants.

Due to the impact of the collision, the Mercedes turned on its side with major damage. One of the two females riding the Mercedes was able to get out of the vehicle while the other female was trapped. 

Moreover, the Dodge sustained major damage all around the vehicle with three of its tires and rims completely ripped off.

The medical team requested at least two ambulances and took the two females to an area hospital. 

The Dodge driver incurred minor injures. Later on, the authorities arrested the him at the scene for suspicion of DUI.

The California Highway Patrol Inland Office investigates the collision.
