People Hurt, Reckless Driving Results in Crash at Everett Mall Way

Everett, WA (February 04, 2021) – On Tuesday, four were injured in a vehicle crash at Everett Mall Way.

Apparently, a 42-year-old woman was driving recklessly while on a test drive of a Hyundai Elantra. With her was a 38-year-old dealership employee.

The woman sped north and rear-ended a pickup truck. Then, the truck was sent across the street through a utility pole and into a parking lot.

Finally, the truck rolled over onto its side.

Subsequently, a third unoccupied vehicle at the nearby business was damaged by the falling pole.

Right away, rescuers rushed the woman and the employee in the Elantra to an Everett hospital with serious and fatal injuries.

Meanwhile, the rescuers treated the 54-year-old driver of the pickup and his passenger, his 10-year-old daughter at the scene for minor injuries.

Authorities said speed was a factor in the crash. They closed the Everett Mall Way for nearly three hours.

Always maintain the recommended speed when driving.
