Woman Dead in Tacoma Train Accident on 21st Street and Dock Street

 
TACOMA, WA (July 15, 2019) – A woman died after a freight train struck her on 21st Street and Dock Street on July 12.
 
The incident occurred near 21st Street and Dock Street about 2:00 a.m., Gus Melonas with Burlington Northern Santa Fe revealed
 
Melonas added that the train headed from Portland to Seattle.
 
The identity of the victim and the reason why she’s near the train tracks remain unknown as of this time.
 
The incident stopped the train traffic along the tracks for a few hours. However, after an investigation the tracks opened and resumed. At this time, police are still investigation the accident.
