SAN JOSE, CA (July 11, 2019) – A female pedestrian sustained injuries after a light-rail train struck her on Stokes Street on July 9.
 
Little details about the accident are released as of this time. According to reports, the VTA train struck the woman on Stokes Street and Southwest Expressway.
 
Responders transported the female pedestrian to a hospital. Her injuries are still unknown.
 
Due to the collision, the VTA train service between the Hamilton and Fruitdale stations temporarily shut down. Passengers used buses for transport between the two stations.
