Facts about Pedestrians and Accidents

Pedestrians have the right of way at any crosswalk or intersection. Therefore, it’s a driver’s responsibility to yield and be prepared to stop.

Car accidents are far more common than pedestrian accidents. However, there is still reason to be wary when traveling on foot.

“Pedestrian accidents do not occur as much as motor vehicle accidents. Nevertheless, the pedestrian accidents tend to include more serious injuries.” These words came from Tyler Toomey, a practicing attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
