Female Pedestrian Hospitalized after Struck by Car at Cutting Boulevard Exit
EL CERRITO, CA (September 4, 2018) – Early Tuesday afternoon, a woman was hospitalized after a pedestrian collision on 80 Freeway. Her name and place of residence were not immediately released to the public.
The collision occurred at around 12:30 PM, ss the woman tried to dash across westbound 80 Freeway near the Cutting Boulevard exit. She was struck by an unidentified vehicle, in the far left lane of the highway.
About 10 minutes prior to the accident, people reported a man and woman had jumped on the tracks at the El Cerrito del Norte BART station. It is unclear if the two incidents are related.
An air ambulance transported the injured woman to a local hospital, for treatment and evaluation. There is no update on her current medical condition at this time. No further details have been disclosed, as the investigation continues.
