Police Investigate Crash on Jefferson St. NE in Albuquerque

Albuquerque, NM (April 2, 2025) – Woman sustained injuries in a crash on Jefferson St. NE.

Just before 6:00 PM on April 1, Albuquerque Police Department (APD) officers and Bernalillo County Fire Rescue (BCFR) responded to a motor vehicle crash at Jefferson St. NE and Singer Blvd. NE. 

When they arrived, they found a car occupant pinned inside the vehicle with a reported head injury.

Emergency responders extricated the woman and transported her to the University of New Mexico Hospital in critical condition.

Due to the severity of her injuries, APD’s Motor Unit launched an investigation. 

Officers closed streets in the area, diverting traffic, and blocked Jefferson between the I-25 frontage road and Balloon Park Rd NE.

Authorities continue to investigate and will provide updates on the victim’s condition and road closures as more information becomes available.
