1 Female Victim Injured in Auto Collision near Meadowood Mall Circle in Reno
Reno, NV (May 13, 2020) – Monday evening, one woman was injured in a scooter crash near Meadowood Mall Circle.
Reno Police said the woman was crossing the Meadowood Mall Circle and South Virginia Street in her scooter. However, she crossed the “no walk” signed street and was eventually struck by a passing vehicle.
She was immediately taken to the hospital for sustaining minor injuries from the crash. However, The Reno Police Department said that the woman was the one accountable for the incident.
Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle was not under any influence of alcohol or drugs at the time.
The surrounding area of Meadowood Mall Circle and South Virginia Street was closed off for a brief time during clean-up and preliminary investigation/duties. Though, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
No further information has been released at this time.
