31-Year-Old Virginia Woman Severely Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Pine Hill Road Near Heavenly Valley Ski Resort

 
South Lake Tahoe, CA (August 8, 2020)– On Tuesday, a woman riding a lime scooter along Pine Hill Road was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash.
 
South Lake Tahoe police said the incident happened on August 4 on a late afternoon. The police reports said that a 31-year-old woman from Alexandria, Virginia was riding a lime scooter along Pine Hill road.
 
An SUV suddenly hit the woman near Heavenly Valley Ski Resort and slowed down afterward. However, the SUV driver then fled the scene before the authorities arrived.
 
Due to the impact of the collision, an air ambulance airlifted the woman to Renown Hospital in Reno after sustaining severe injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the police released details of the vehicle’s identification. The suspect’s vehicle was a black Porsche Cayenne and the owner is currently cooperating with the investigation.
 
However, it is unclear who was driving the vehicle during the incident.
 
South Tahoe Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call (530) 542-6100.
