1 Dead in San Jose Auto Accident on Highway 101 and Yerba Buena Road

SAN JOSE, CA (September 21, 2021) – Sunday night, a woman died in a traffic crash on Highway 101 and Yerba Buena Road.

The incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on Highway 101 and Yerba Buena Road.

According to the investigation, a woman drove a Toyota Corolla on Yerba Buena Road. Then, the vehicle veered into another lane and collided with a Honda Accord head-on. Afterward, another car, a Toyota 4-Runner collided with the back of the Honda.

Responders took the Toyota’s female driver to a local hospital where she later died. Meanwhile, responders took two Honda occupants with minor injuries to local hospitals. Meanwhile, the 4-Runner driver suffered no injuries.

As a result of the crash, the authorities shut down a part of Yerba Buena Road during the investigation.

The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office hasn’t released the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.

Furthermore, the authorities confirmed that this incident is the city’s 44th traffic death case and 45th victim of the year.
