Oxnard, CA (July 16, 2020) – On Thursday, a woman died in a pedestrian crash on Channel Islands Boulevard and South M Street.
 
The fatal accident happened at about 1:52 a.m. when a 25-year-old driver traveling westbound on Channel Islands Boulevard accidentally hit the woman.
 
Police only identified the victim as a 30-year-old woman, who they pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the driver did not get injured and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities did not cite him for the crash.
 
Police closed the road until about 8:15 a.m. as they investigate. They are hoping someone may be able to help identify the woman.
 
Moreover, traffic investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash. It is not known if alcohol or drugs were involved.
