Fatal Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on Power Inn Road
SOUTH SACRAMENTO, CA (July 10, 2019) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Power Inn Road on July 8.
According to investigators, the woman crossed Power Inn Road near 68th Avenue directly in the line of travel of a Ford Escape.
While the woman had a conversation on the east sidewalk of Power Inn Road, she instantly stepped into the road. The Ford driver couldn’t stop in time and struck the pedestrian.
Officers administered a CPR but the pedestrian died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Ford driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the officers. After determining that she’s not intoxicated, officers finally released her.
Authorities shut down Power Inn Road due to the collision. By 10:30 p.m., the southbound lanes reopened.
