Woman Struck and Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 78th Avenue East

 
Frederickson, WA (September 20, 2020) – On Friday, a woman died in a pedestrian accident on 78th Avenue East.
 
Deputies responded to a crash involving a car and a pedestrian past 9:30 p.m. in the 19000 block area.
 
The caller reported that an SUV struck a woman pushing a shopping cart in the middle of the road. Authorities said it was raining heavily at the time of the incident.
 
The sheriff’s office said the GMC Yukon was traveling northbound on 78th Avenue. As it drove uphill, the SUV driver saw what he believed to be a trailer in the center of the road. He tried to drift to avoid impact but there was another vehicle moving southbound at the same time.
