Summerlin Motorcycle Accident on Rampart Boulevard
SUMMERLIN, NV (November 7, 2019) – A 48-year-old woman died in a car and motorcycle crash on Rampart Boulevard on November 5.
According to LVMPD Officer Alejandra Zambrano, the incident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. on Rampart Boulevard and Canyon Run Drive near Summerlin Parkway.
The crash involved a 2018 Harley-Davidson Sportster and a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. Reports revealed that as the motorcycle traveled south on Rampart Boulevard and approached the “T” intersection. After that, the Elantra traveled north to turn left onto Canyon Run. When the Elantra turned in front of the motorcycle, the two vehicles crashed.
The crash sent the 48-year-old female motorcyclist to University Medical Center Trauma where she died.
Her identity remains unreleased due to pending family notification.
Meanwhile, the 63-year-old female Elantra driver didn’t suffer any injury. She remained at the scene and the LVMPD ruled out impairment as a factor in the crash.
