CHULA VISTA, CA (April 8, 2025) – Sunday night, a woman died in a horrific fiery crash on 805 Freeway and State Route 504.

The incident happened at about 10:35 p.m. on the northbound 805 Freeway at the connector to eastbound state route 54, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A witness told CHP the car was being driven recklessly before it caught fire. A good Samaritan tried to pull a woman from the vehicle.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
