Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Highway 170

VALLEY GLEN, CA (September 12, 2018) – A woman was killed Wednesday evening following a hit-and-run crash on Victory Boulevard near Highway 170. The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident took place at about 9:30 PM in the 12400 block of Victory Boulevard. The woman was seen pushing a stroller containing personal belongings when she was struck by a vehicle.

The victim, described as a woman in her 50s, sustained severe injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver did not stop to render aid and continued driving away.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact the authorities as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once available.
